The Africa Job Creation Forum 2023 will be held at the Nelson Mandela Hall in the African Union Headquarters, Addis Ababa, ETHIOPIA.

Visa Requirements
Travelers visiting Ethiopia are generally required to obtain a visa, unless they come from visa-exempt countries. Please note the following details regarding visa requirements for different types of travelers:
It is advisable to check with the Ethiopian embassy or consulate in your country or consult relevant official sources for the most up-to-date and accurate information regarding visa exemptions.
Participants who intend to request a visa upon arrival at Bole International Airport should carry with them their personal official letter of invitation and a copy of the note verbale listing the session participants for presentation at the time of checking in at the airport of departure and to the Ethiopian immigration authorities upon arrival.

The application fee for a single-entry 30-day conference visa is $52. However, for journalist visas, the fee is higher at $152 as of March 2023.
It is recommended to submit the required documents at least 15 working days in advance to allow sufficient processing time. It's advisable to contact the relevant authorities or the secretariat of the conference for more accurate information on the processing time.

Currency
Currency in Ethiopia: Ethiopian birr (ETB), denominated in birr and cents. Exchange rates fluctuate, check NBE's website before arrival. (https://nbe.gov.et/commercial-banks-exchange-rate/)
ATMs available at Skylight Hotel and hotels like Sheraton Addis, Hyatt Regency, Elilly, Hilton, Inter Luxury, Jupiter, Marriott, Radisson Blu, etc. As of May 27, 2023, $1.00 = 54.27 ETB.
Transportation
Shuttle buses will be provided by some hotels for airport-hotel transfers. Personal transport requests are not accommodated.
Climate
Ethiopia has two seasons: dry (October to May) and rainy (late June to September). Temperatures vary with altitude. Bring a jacket or sweater for cool nights and after heavy rains.
Electricity
Electricity in Ethiopia: 220-240V, 50 cycles. Sockets use European two-pin (C, E, F) plugs. Participants may need a suitable adapter if their devices have different plug type
